President's Letter

October 2023

Hello!

Here it is, the middle of October!  The leaves in my backyard are changing color every day, and the acorns are slowly piling up on the ground.  It seems just yesterday a group of PMI-NH chapter members were enjoying the spectacle of an early evening lightning storm and a torrential downpour while awaiting a baseball game.

And, with the middle of October comes the launch of the Chapter’s strategic planning activities. We start by reviewing the year that has been, observing what worked and what didn’t work, based on feedback received sporadically from Chapter members. That information is then fed into the planning for next year, which also includes establishing a fiscal budget.

Part of the cycle also includes submitting a lengthy report to PMI highlighting certain chapter metrics and services we offered to members.  We are asked to then determine what could change in 2024 and how the chapter would respond.  Our planned events – professional development, networking, speaker series – also need to be identified.

To assist in this planning, you will be asked to respond to several short surveys, providing us with insights into what you, the members, want from the Chapter and your elected leadership.  So, please be totally open in your responses! This is YOUR Chapter; you have a voice in the services it provides to you.

On that note, on behalf of your Chapter leadership, thank you for being a valued member of the Chapter community!  And I hope to meet more of you in future Chapter activities!
