Events Support Committee Manager(s)
We still have open volunteer opportunities on the Events Support Committee team to assist with the planning of PMI NH Chapter Events, including selection event venues, menu coordination, and managing other event logistics. If you have some event planning experience, this is a great way to step into a volunteer role with the PMI NH Chapter. [Estimated volunteer hours 5–10 hours per month]
Sr. Manager of Professional Development
PMI-NH has a new volunteer opportunity within the Membership area, for a strategic thinker to lead the professional development and education planning activities for the chapter. In this role, you will collaborate with the membership team to plan and offer relevant professional development opportunities to our membership. The ideal candidate would have experience or an interest in education/career development. [Estimated volunteer hours: 10-15 hours per month]
OPEN BOARD POSITIONS
The PMI NH Chapter is looking for a well-organized, great communicator to fulfill the role of Recording Secretary on the Board of Directors. As the point of contact for chapter communications, you will maintain chapter records, direct the communication process with all chapter members, and oversee the procurement of printed materials. The successful candidate for this role would be a good listener and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Also see the full description of the Recording Secretary role. UPCOMING ELECTIONS FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS
The nomination period is now open for the following Board of Director positions. New terms begin on July 1, 2020:
VP of Membership
Addresses chapter membership needs, such as recruiting, retention, and value delivery. Oversees the delivery of chapter membership benefits, directs career development, education and customer service activities. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong leader, great speaker/presenter, and experienced strategic planner. See the full VP Membership position for more details on this role. [Serves for 2 years beginning July 2020. Estimated volunteer hours: 30-40 per month]
Manages chapter technology operations and oversees the procurement of and contracting for all chapter operations and technology needs. Represents and assists the president, and assumes the role of President after one year, then transitions to the role of Past President the following year. Key skills for this role are strong leadership and strategic planning. Review more details on the President-Elect role. [Term begins July 2020. Estimated volunteer hours: 30-40 per month]
VP of Finance
Manages the chapter finances, maintains financial records for the chapter, and provides financial reports. Leads the chapter budgeting process and reviews chapter contracts and agreements from a financial perspective. A candidate with financial management and planning experience and familiarity with accounting principles would be a great fit for this role. See full description of VP Finance. VP of Marketing/Community Relations
Develops and oversees the Chapter Marketing and Outreach plan, leads Community Engagement initiatives and builds strong relationships with our sponsors. If you have an understanding of marketing strategy and tactics as well an interest in fostering relationships with our local businesses and academic institutions, this may be the right volunteer opportunity for you.
