Are you trying to create a project team where people are supposed to multitask on several projects with several other teams? Or, you’re supposed to create a totally predictive plan, but your team needs to experiment to deliver what the customers need. Maybe, you don’t have an answer for the reason why the team is doing this work.

What can you do?

Change your leadership from thinking about activities to delivering outcomes. You don’t need to do all the planning and leading—instead, the team can lead itself and deliver. Create an environment where you focus on the team, not each person as an individual.
