June Chapter Meeting: The Intersection of Project Management and Business Resiliency

 June 16, 2021  6:30pm - 9pm

Guest Speaker: Daniel Hunt, PMP, CBCP, MBCI

Project Managers are often called upon in times of disasters to support recovery efforts and in some cases may be responsible for the execution of recovery plans.   This webinar will cover the overlap of the Professional Practices from the Disaster Recovery Institute International and PMI’s PMBOK.   It will highlight the knowledge, skills, and tools that PMs possess and use and how they can be applied to business resiliency.   Presentation will also provide an overview of the Hanover Insurance Group’s response to the Pandemic and the projects generated by the pandemic response team.

Purpose & Outcomes

Project Managers will understand a key role that they can play in their organization’s business resiliency plans and how that knowledge can enhance their role.

Use of new knowledge and participation in business resiliency can:

  • Increase your visibility within the company to senior management
  • Improve your knowledge of your business and facilitate more meaningful discussions with Project Sponsors
  • Increase your value within your organization
  • Provide you a source for additional justification in preparing project requests/business cases

Cost: Member $0, Non-Member $10
